Maya Ritter.
Principal Agent & Founder
Maya founded Altus after two decades inside the Canadian industry — time spent learning what actually separates the actors who build careers from the ones who get a good year.
The answer, consistently, was representation that thought further ahead than the next audition. Altus was built to be that: a small roster, real strategy behind each client, and relationships with the casting professionals who make the decisions.
She works with union and non-union talent across all four departments, and personally reads every submission the agency receives.

The roster is small because attention does not scale. Every actor we sign is someone we have the capacity to genuinely work for — not a name added to a list in case something lands.
Positioning before pitching
Before we send you anywhere, we make sure the materials, the reel and the story hold together. Casting directors form an impression in seconds; we make sure it is the right one.
Communication as standard
You will know what you have been submitted for and what came back. The silence most actors describe from their agents is a choice, and it is not one we make.
